CALENDER 2013-14
Calender Photoshop edits
For the month of January, we had to use the cloning tool. So in the original picture I removed the bench by cloning snow over it. Then I used the cropping and lasso tools to crop the tiger. To make the tiger more realistic in the picture like it was walking towards the viewer I used free transform and other transforming tools. The last thing I played with was the contrast and brightness of the pictures alone and then all together.

For the month of April, we had to use the blending tool. So in the original picture i added a color overlay with a pink shade and had a linear burn for the blend mode. I also auto adjusted the levels of the picture. Then I cropped out the butterfly and put it in the picture. I free transformed the butterfly and played with the perspective. then I also added the color overlay of black to it, and had hue for the blend mode. With both players I also played with the opacity. Lastly, I added the text to it.

For the month of June, we had to use the gradient tool. The first thing I did was crop the dolphins out. Then i added them to the sunset cover. After i played with the smudge, sponge, and cloning tools, to fix the dolphins in the picture. Then i adjusted the brightness/contrast of the dolphins to match them to the sunset cover. After i added a gradient overlay of purple to red/orange on all the layers.

For the month of July, we had to use brushes. So for my picture I downloaded the the brush "fractal flower." I didn't play around with the brightness/contrast of the picture at all. I arranged the flowers in the three different corners. Then I overlapped different flowers together to create more intricate flowers. I also played with opacity of the flowers on the right bottom corner. The last thing I did was add the text.

For the month of September, we had to use the free transform pen tool. So for this picture, I did not play around with brightness or anything. I kept everything mostly the same except cloning some logos out. Then I drew a line with the free transform pen tool. After that I added the text on the line so it is right on the edge of the animal. After I played around with the colors of the text to match it with the rest of the covers. In the end I got that final product.

For the month of November, we had to use the Dodge/Burn tool. The first thing, I cropped out the bird and put it in the background picture. I played with the perspective of the picture so it looked more realistic. Then i dodged the bokehed background so it would be lighter. i contrasted that by burning the branches a little. I also dodged some parts of the bird and middle of the leaf. I dodged/burned the bird so it could shadows and highlights to fit into the picture.
